Terry embraces holistic practices utilizing mindfulness, somatic practices, and spirituality in psychotherapy along with other best-practice techniques.
Terry has worked for 36 years in the mental health field. Terry graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a master’s degree in social work. Two different life experiences have significantly impacted Terry’s life and her work. She trained horses, herded cattle, baled hay, milked cows, and fed chickens on a 500-acre cattle ranch in Reedsport, Oregon, for many summers. Conversely, Terry had the opportunity to travel overseas with the Department of Defense as the lead singer of a jazz band. When she returned home, she moved to New York City and performed at various venues while living with a family on Park Avenue as their nanny.
