Megan Stauffer
LCSW-A
With over 15 years of experience working with parents and families, Megan understands the real-life demands of balancing caregiving, work, relationships, and personal well-being. She provides practical, evidence-based tools to help clients reduce anxiety, manage intrusive thoughts (OCD), improve focus and executive functioning (ADHD), and feel more grounded and in control.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, solution-focused and strengths-based. Megan draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and EMDR (Level I). She incorporates mindfulness, and creative expression, including mixed media art, to support whole-person healing. Megan is especially passionate about helping clients build practical skills to regulate emotions, quiet the inner critic, and move toward their values. Sessions often include somatic (body-based) techniques and creative expression to support deeper healing and nervous system regulation.
She is known for her calm, supportive presence and her ability to break down coping skills into simple, usable tools. Megan works collaboratively with clients to:
• Manage anxiety and overwhelm
• Reduce OCD cycles and intrusive thoughts
• Build ADHD-friendly routines and strategies
• Strengthen parenting confidence and connection
• Navigate burnout, identity shifts, and life transitions
• Develop self-compassion and quiet the inner critic
Megan’s background includes Early Head Start home visiting, doula and lactation consulting, and teaching parenting programs. She has also worked in home health, research, and outpatient perinatal mental health settings and has a strong passion for group therapy.
Megan strives to create a supportive space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow. She believes that even in the midst of feeling overwhelmed or stuck, meaningful change is possible and that no one has to navigate it alone.
Outside of her clinical work, Megan enjoys crafting, engaging in community events, exploring small towns, and spending time with her two sons.
